State children’s homes closed in March. 5,000 children of all ages returned to homes in the Lviv Region that have difficulty supporting them. Each has their own unique history of why they were in children’s homes. Now many find it difficult to cope.
There can’t be people living in this house, we must have the wrong address”, said a volunteer helping with distribution. Then the door opened and children came out to meet us.
It’s hard for us to imagine that children don’t have enough food in Ukraine, and live with no running water, no internet and many challenges to daily life. And this is in Europe, not far from the bustling city of Lviv.
We have brought supplies of food, hygiene products and medicine to 50 families in the Lviv Region in April. Our team has already organised three trips to support families with children from care homes. We are working with Social Services and the Department for children to identify which families need the most help, and will support those who need it through May and June.
We invite you to join us! Please get involved to help families in crisis.

Thank you for caring enough to help!
