Over April and May we have regularly supplied food to 2,500 displaced people in the Lviv Region. With donations we have bought essential food supplies, and also delivered donated food, clothes and aid. These are delivered to Turka, Busk and schools where refugees are staying. We would like to pass on their words of appreciation to every donor who makes this support possible.
“We are very grateful to you for such significant help, you have lifted our spirits. I was glad that there is sugar and flour - the refugees will bake cakes. Thanks again!” – School which hosts 50 refugees from Kramatorsk and Barvinkove
We continue our partnership with The Social Hut in Busk. They wrote:
“Thank you for helping with the food, toiletries, and other help you bring. Every day, so many families come to request help and tell us their story. Children ask lots of questions that are very difficult to answer. We feel so joyful that together we can help them with something. Our list already includes more than 100 families whom we were able to help together, who live in Busk and Krasnoye. Thank you all very much" - Ivanka, volunteer
Here are excerpts from a letter from the Village Council Head in Turka:
“From the first days of military aggression, there was a humanitarian aid distribution point opened in Boryn territorial community. Both refugees and local families in crisis come here to get some aid. There are more than 2,000 refugees including 500 children on the territory of the community.
“We are very thankful to the NGO “Care in Action -Turbota v Dii” for the humanitarian aid provided: food, clothes, shoes, bedding, underwear, hygiene products, prams and toys. Your work is essential for the most vulnerable people and you set the right example of how to support them. We believe by joining our efforts we can overcome any obstacle in these difficult times.” - Mykhailo Shkitak
Here are some examples of messages we receive from displaced families:
“Good evening. I wanted to express my great gratitude to you for your kindness, help, and bringing us happiness. We thank you very much. We slept under the bedding with the children. And the food and sweets were so tasty, let the Guardian Angels protect you.” – a displaced family Irpen, living in Busk
“Thank you very much, the children are very happy with the sweets and toys. May your goodwill return to you tenfold. For half an hour the children were studying the sweets and groceries. We see many of them for the first time. Thanks again very much! – displaced family from Kharkiv
Every donation, big and small, makes a great difference in these difficult times. Thank you for helping Care in Action to maintain regular food support for 2,500 displaced people in our region!
