Youth activities: resilience and hope for the future

We helped 90 young people this summer to build their resilience and learn life and work skills, as part of the STEP Program. Then in two adventure camps, 50 of these teenagers went kayaking, had art therapy and even helped with environment action. The two adventure camps were made possible by BILD hilft e.V. ‘Ein Herz für Kinder’. The new confidence and ideas continued when the teenagers went on to organise events in their own communities!

To give longer-term solutions we are transitioning some children into our sponsorship and other programmes, with 5 families selected to start as soon as possible. And Covid didn’t stop us from spreading Christmas cheer through our volunteers’ Shrek-themed video.

New opportunities to help children

Distributing food through the crisis has connected us with some of the poorest families in the Lviv Region. We can help by providing food, activities for the children and support for education. By getting to know children and their parents we can link them with our programmes for better opportunities.
